There is a lot to do such as choosing your dress, your bridesmaid's dresses, the cake, the flowers, and much more. All of this takes a lot of time that you could spend doing things that you enjoy, such as picking out the right hairstyle, shoes, and jewelry. Instead of trying to handle the food on your own, hire a wedding caterer. This type of caterer has experienced working with weddings, so this will ensure your guests are happy with the food they receive.
You and your partner should visit with different caterers in your area. Taste some of the food they make. This will give you a good idea on whether you want to hire them. Once you find a caterer set up a meeting with them. Go over the types of foods you want to serve at your reception. This could be deserts only, such as small pieces of cake, cookies, mints, etc.
You also may want to have a full meal served to guests. If so, the caterer can set up the tables for you, including putting a tablecloth on the table and providing you with plates and cutlery.

Photographer and Videographer
Your wedding day is going to be one of the best days of your life. For this reason, you want to have everything documented. This includes taking photographs and having someone video tape the wedding.
Hire a wedding photographer that will take formal pictures of the wedding party, as well as more casual pictures of you and your spouse after the wedding. The photographer can take a picture of you and your partner by yourselves, and then another picture of the bridesmaids. Having a picture of your parents and your partner's parents is also nice. The photographer should take pictures when you smash wedding cake into your partner's face and when doing other fun things.
Along with the photographer, hire someone to video tape the wedding. Just like the photographer they can provide you with a serious video of the actual wedding and reception. They can videotape you and your spouse from the beginning of the wedding until you get into your car to leave for the honeymoon.
